As we celebrate turning 20 at Webstars, our directors Jez John and Louisa Scott look back at some of the crucial learning experiences that have moulded Webstars into the agency it is today. Today they discuss white labelling services, the challenges it can present, how an agency can lose its own identity, and how being confident in your area of expertise and staying true to your values can benefit you long-term. Watch the video below, and if you’d like to learn more about finding your identity as a company, why not contact one of our directors Jez John, Louisa Scott on LinkedIn! #Webstars #B2BMarketing #marketing #digitalmarketing

So, one of my top takeaways from the B2B Social Day was about short form vertical video and in particular 10 seconds max for TikTok 30 seconds max for LinkedIn. The speaker on this particular subject, also pointed out that anything over 2 minutes was probably just too long. So I made a video that is over 2 minutes about my day 😳 . I won't be offended if you don't get to the end... It was so action packed with so much valuable content for B2B marketers in the digital space that I just couldn't skip any of it. Other top takeaways include: Agent AI and its use in data analysis and reporting; The importance of authenticity in personal branding; How and why we need to advocate and educate both internally and externally on B2B marketing; Using influencers in B2B and the key differences vs B2C influencers; Getting started with employee advocacy. Massive thanks go to Andy Lambert and Luan Wise for organising the whole thing. I am coming back next year. #B2BSocialDay

Should you get legal advice from Google's AI Overviews? In the past, YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) content has been treated much more carefully than other categories by Google's search algorithm. But this approach hasn't been applied as evenly to AI Overviews according to a study by SE Ranking, with legal and health-related searches triggering AIOs quite frequently. While AIOs do pull information from sources across the internet - and per the study, many of the sources used are indeed reliable - there could be a danger of giving users misleading or outright incorrect information. Highly recommend reading all the findings in this study if you're interested in learning about how AIOs treat YMYL queries! https://lnkd.in/eVUAdAD8

Just as we were getting used to AI Overviews... This is the second major AI-related update to Google Search this year, following the (somewhat shaky) launch of AIOs just a few months ago. If this test in the US is successful, I think the future of SEO will look incredibly different -- we'll all have to start getting used to sharing the search space differently with our competitors!
Google launches AI-organized search results in US, starting with recipes. New format combines content types for personalized experience. https://bit.ly/3BHlRHS #seonews #Google #SEO

Over the years, we’ve gone from having six or seven project managers on our team at one time… to none. How could that possibly work? Waterfall, Agile, Kanban… is there such a thing as the perfect project management methodology?
