Grief is a uniquely individual process, affecting us in a variety of possible ways. Mindfulness can help support our healing and self-compassion, to try and be in the present moment and observe our thoughts and feelings non-judgementally, perhaps with some acceptance. When we are faced with emotionally challenging times it can sometimes be hard to get a good night's sleep, and when we are feeling tired it can be harder to be with our feelings. This #NationalGriefAwarenessWeek we have collaborated with our partners at Good Thinking, whose services support Londoners to look after their mental health and wellbeing, to highlight one of our most popular meditations that helps to promote sleep. 🫶National Self-Care Week helps raise awareness about how people can better take care of their own physical health and mental wellbeing. The theme this year is ‘Mind & Body’. 🔹Mindfulness not only helps us become more present and aware of our thought patterns. The practice of mindful breathing and mindful movement helps us to tune into our bodies and discover how our thoughts, emotions and body sensations are all connected. 🔹For those who live with long-term health conditions such as arthritis, relaxation and meditation techniques can help people in learning to self-manage their pain more effectively. Suitable stretching exercises bring multiple benefits that also help with self-management and improving body condition. There are many ways in which we can practice self care, from exercising regularly and eating more healthily, to talking about our issues and helping others. By incorporating more self care into our lives, we can actively improve our own health on a daily basis, both mentally and physically. #selfcareweek #MindBody #mindfulness #mentalhealth #physicalhealth

We are delighted to be working with iDiversity to support employees their pain management, mental health and wellbeing. The scale of the problem is huge and digital therapies can play an important role in improving outcomes. #employeewellbeing #mentalhealth #MSK #painmanagement #digitalhealth
Did you know there are 3.9 million employees in the UK with work limiting health conditions? Musculoskeletal disorders and poor mental health contribute significantly to these figures and lead to reduced productivity, increased absenteeism and lower employee morale. Digital health treatments are becoming an increasingly popular way of supporting employees with their pain management, mental health and wellbeing. Wellmind Health have a range of digital treatment programs offering effective and accessible ways to help employees using evidence based methods and approaches like mindfulness and CBT, which can have a lasting impact on individuals’ lives and improve outcomes relating to employment. The programs can also form part of a coaching plan delivered by iDiversity and include treatments on chronic musculoskeletal pain, arthritic pain, stress, anxiety, depression and general mental health and wellbeing. Millions of people in the UK experience stress, with common triggers including work pressures, financial worries, and family responsibilities. 🗓️ The theme for International Stress Awareness Day this year, the centre of International Stress Awareness Week, is Campaigning to Reduce Stress and Improve Wellbeing. In support, we highlight an effective way to reduce stress, the practice of mindfulness. 🧘Mindfulness meditation encourages awareness of the present moment, helping to interrupt patterns of negative thinking and unhelpful thoughts. If you're feeling stressed, try finding a quiet space to focus on your breathing and tune into your body and surroundings. This can help you slow down, calmly acknowledge your thoughts and sensations, and accept them without judgment. The more we practice mindfulness, the better we become at it. Taking time for ourselves every day leads to cumulative benefits. #stress #mindfulness #meditiation #relaxation #internationalStressAwarenessDay

✈️ Our CEO Heather Cook just returned from a particularly inspiring US trip.✈️ The first stop was Scottsdale, Arizona to spend time with staff and clients at the Crossroads, Inc. drug and alcohol rehabilitation service. Many thanks for the warm welcome to Karem Garcia and team and all the clients Heather met on this occasion at the male treatment centres. 🤝We are extremely proud to be working with Crossroads and grateful to everyone who shared their personal stories and experiences. It is incredibly moving to hear first hand the power of mindfulness and meditation in aiding long-term recovery and the prevention of relapse. Also the profound changes people have been able to discover through our programs to manage long-term substance use disorder. It was then on to Las Vegas and the HLTH USA conference. This huge event included packed days and nights of networking with healthcare industry leaders from around the world, first-rate discussions on digital health and incredible insights on the US healthcare system. There were plenty of opportunities to catch-up with partners and industry colleagues from the UK. The country was represented in strength at the Department for Business and Trade’s UK Pavilion. It was fantastic to see so many innovators from this side of the pond there, and to spend time with our contacts from DBT’s Digital Health Playbook and Innovate UK. It was also great to see NHSE, represented by Erika Denton and Minal Bakhai MBE, flying the flag for our NHS, and Andy Bleaden and other friends from ECHAlliance - The Global Health Connector. We can’t wait to see what further strides forward in driving positive change will have been made by this time next year... #mentalhealth #addictionrecovery #painmanagement #mindfulness #HLTH2024
