White Ribbon UK is part of the global White Ribbon movement to end men’s violence against women.
About us
White Ribbon UK is part of the global White Ribbon movement to end men’s violence against women*. We are the leading charity that is ending men's violence against women by engaging with men and boys to make a stand against violence. Our mission is for all men to fulfill the White Ribbon Promise to never commit, excuse or remain silent about male violence against women. We act as a catalyst, encouraging people, and especially men and boys, to individually and collectively take action and change behaviour. White Ribbon Ambassadors are men volunteers who engage with other men and boys to call out abusive and sexist behaviour among their friends, colleagues and communities to promote a culture of equality and respect. White Ribbon Champions are people who support our work, helping us to engage with men and work within communities. Women who are champions are an essential part of White Ribbon, ensuring that the voices of women, especially survivors of violence and abuse, are heard. White Ribbon Accreditation ensures organisations take a strategic approach to ending men's violence against women by engaging with men and boys, changing cultures and raising awareness. *Violence against women, means “any act of gender-based violence that results in, or is likely to result in, physical, sexual or psychological harm or suffering to women, including threats of such acts, coercion or arbitrary deprivation of liberty, whether occurring in public or in private life”. United Nations (1994) A/RES/48/104

On average, we spend a third of our lives at work. Everyone deserves to feel and be safe at work. Since October 2024, all employers have a legal duty to work preventatively to stop sexual harassment from happening at work in the first place. If you want to make sure your organisation is working to make this a reality, and to foster positive culture change in your organisation and wider community, sign up to White Ribbon UK Training today: https://lnkd.in/eenAd6Cm
