Excited to announced that we’ve been longlisted for a Digital Culture Award for our event app. We developed the York Unlocked Event App to guide people to the venues we opened for the weekend. Data from the app has given us a new insight into how people approached the event, and we’re already using the analysis of the data to build new partnerships and improve our funding bids. The Digital Culture Awards, presented by the Arts Councils’ Digital Culture Network, showcase tech and digital innovation in creativity and culture. We’re thrilled that our app has been recognised in the Using Data category, and can’t wait to find out more about the other projects that have been longlisted. #DigitalCultureAwards Arts Council England / Digital Culture Network

Architecture@York: Research Centre Launch & Research Workshop The Treehouse, Berrick Saul Building, University of York Monday 18th Nov, 09.30-16.30 pm Join us at our “Architecture@York” research programme launch event on Monday, 18 Nov, 09.30-16.30 pm at The Treehouse, Berrick Saul Building, University of York. We will launch our Centre for Architecture, Urbanism, and Global Heritage, research programme at York School of Architecture, University of York. The programme includes our first collaborative research workshop, ”Legacies, History & Future of Architectural and Urban Heritage in York”, which will take place with a fantastic lineup of York scholars, researchers and partners. The programme will foster debates and discussions on the legacy and role of #architecture and #urbanheritage research within #York. It is a great opportunity to listen to our researchers and explore opportunities to link research teams, stakeholders and collaborators and discuss shared interests and projects. It is organised around three Thematic Sessions that look at the past, present, and future. The roundtable sessions will be an open platform for industry, policy, and academia speakers to discuss current challenges, innovations, and visions for the future. The event is open to #academic colleagues, external collaborators, #architects, and #industry partners. We welcome colleagues and partners interested in architecture from practice, education, and research perspectives. This is an open invitation.
