We are working with Enhanced Rock Weathering in tropical agriculture, focusing on Brazil. We’re a growing startup in the climate-, agtech space, with entities in Brazil and Germany, operating globally preparing for further funding and expansion. As our Head of Finance/CFO, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping and driving our financial strategy.

The Impact you can make

In this role, you will continue building a scalable finance function that enables sustainable growth while positioning us for success in debt financing and fundraising. Your expertise will directly empower the business to scale our operations, unlocking our ability to remove carbon at gigaton scale and contribute meaningfully to the fight against climate change.


Core working relationships

As Head of Finance/CFO, you will report directly to the CEO (Felix) and work closely with our investors, and the leadership team. You’ll lead a capable and ambitious finance team, including a Finance Manager/Controller (Carlos) and a Finance Analyst (Isadora) while building trusted relationships both inside and outside the business. As a core leader with authority and decision-making, you will be instrumental in driving financial strategy, partnering with each department, and fostering confidence across all stakeholders.


🎯 Key responsibilities


Capital & Financial Resources

  • Design and implement scalable non-dilutive financing solutions to grow the companies operations
  • Establish relationships with international investors and lenders, ensuring access to capital across Brazil, the EU, and the US.
  • Support Equity investment efforts with structured governance.

Financial Strategy & Governance

  • Develop and oversee a robust financial plan aligned with our growth objectives.
  • Manage balance sheet debt, particularly for debt partnerships, ensuring sustainable financing.
  • Maintain 100% accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with international standards. Experience within Brazil and Germany is a big plus.
  • Provide legal and commercial support across teams, fostering a culture of compliance and risk management.

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a trusted first-line advisor to the CEO and collaborate closely with shareholders and board members.
  • Represent the company externally with credibility, inspiring confidence among investors and commercial partners.

Team Leadership & Finance Operations

  • Work closely with our Finance team to build scalable financial structures and processes, balancing strategic oversight with operational excellence.
  • Implement new tools and technologies to build productive financial operations across the startup.
  • Build and lead a lean finance team capable of growing with the company.

Core Skills & Experience

  • 7–8+ years of experience in finance leadership roles, ideally in asset management, investment banking or scaling high-growth startups.
  • Proven track record in fundraising, especially in securing debt financing, e.g. venture debt, private debt.
  • Well established network of relationships within the international financial ecosystem
  • Scaling Finance Operations from 1 to 2.
  • International exposure, with excellent English communication skills and experience navigating global financial ecosystems.
  • Experience or personal interest in sustainability or climate.

Bonus Points (but not essential)

  • MBA is a plus.
  • German and Portuguese are a big plus.
