I am thrilled to share that I have completed the "Strategic Thinking for the CXO" program at Cambridge Judge Business School as part of my electives for the 1 year CTO programme. This intensive eight-week course has been an incredible journey, equipping me with cutting-edge methodologies to enhance strategic thinking and execution capabilities in today's volatile business environment. Key learnings include: ▪️ Strategic Frameworks: Understanding how to create adaptive business strategies that sustain dynamic environments and generate competitive advantages. ▪️ Ecosystem Strategy: Exploring the importance of thinking beyond traditional industry boundaries to identify new value creation opportunities. ▪️ Growth and Competition: Delving into managing growth, competition, and exploring mergers and acquisitions to diversify and expand. ▪️ Emergent Strategies: Learning about agility, adaptation, and how to pivot strategies effectively in response to external changes. ▪️ Execution and Implementation: Mastering the execution of strategies to achieve organizational objectives and overcome implementation challenges. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Professors Kamal Munir & Shaz Ansari, and the guest speakers for their invaluable insights and guidance throughout the program. Their expertise in strategy and innovation has profoundly enriched my learning experience. Additionally, a big thank you to our facilitator Florian Ahle from Emeritus, whose support and dedication ensured a seamless and impactful learning journey. Finally a big thank you to my cohort for enriching my experience. I am excited to apply these insights to contribute to the strategic growth and resilience of the organisations I will support!

This last week has been an absolute career highlight. 2024 has been a real growth journey for me as I’ve settled in my role as Head of Brand Marketing across three brands, and I have also been fortunate to be part of a development programme courtesy of my employer Inchcape, starting with completing Cambridge Judge Business School’s Strategic Thinking for the CXO certification. Over the last three months I have been working with Inchcape Asia-Pacific colleagues on a project which culminated in presenting to the APAC Senior Leadership Team this week in Singapore, along with a week of learning. I am so grateful that Inchcape have invested in my future. I have learnt so much though this programme with highlights being: 1. The process of completing the project & presenting to the APAC SLT - learning the best approach to tackle a very lofty project statement with my incredible team members was invaluable. From scoping to research, ideation, solutioning and everything in between has me well set up for my next project which I’m excited about. Not to mention the positive feedback we got which made it particularly rewarding. 2. Networking - I get energised by meeting new people (possibly too energised at times 🤣). It was great to finally meet all 14 team members in the cohort across APAC along with the SLT. The Gallup CliftonStrengths® Assessment taught me that one of my top strengths is “Woo”. Meaning I love the challenge of meeting new people and derive satisfaction from breaking the ice and making a connection. My cup is certainly full after the week we’ve had and I look forward to developing newfound connections. 3. Hearing from our leaders about their journey - learning how others have overcome their challenges was inspiring and motivating. It’s no secret that the NZ automotive industry is doing it pretty tough at the moment, and hearing from leaders of other markets and their experiences has given me new perspective, and I have a renewed energy to tackle the rest of the year ahead. There are SO many people to thank, but the key ones are my team Viknesh V, Trina Cruz, Jeffrey Lee Seet Boon, @Muhammad Clovien and our Executive Sponsor Colin Christie. Wendy Foong and Grace Cheung - thank you for recommending me for this opportunity, and Amanda L. & Kym J. Mellow for your ongoing support. The Senior Leaders were so open and willing to share their journey. Thank you to Ruslan Kinebas, Georgie Hannon, Mark Dearnley, Dean Sykes, Nicola Gear, Jennifer Alejandro and @Alex Hammett - all who I connected with and offered me sound advice and guidance. And finally Dr. Andre Lim, Alexander Jones, Chew Yuan You & @Ana for your wonderful hospitality and going the extra mile. The list goes on, it’s always a risk naming people given the risk of leaving people out! What a week of growth! It’s great to be home, and I’m looking forward to a weekend with friends and my gorgeous family before starting next week recharged and ready to go!
