🏎️💨 Getting the wheels in motion on 2025! Last week, we were invited to take part in Bicester Motion's famous Scramble event! Our team were on hand to discuss Kier's career opportunities and our live project delivering phase 1 of The Ranges at Bicester Motion. We were also joined by our supply chain partner McCoy Contractors who provided excavators for visitors to get up close and personal with, and Ride on Time who brought along a selection of ride-on construction vehicles and PPE for our younger visitors! ⏯️Watch the video below for a snapshot of our day:

Fantastic to see the new and completed surgical centre NHS Golden Jubilee featured in the Health Estate Journal. This facility has been a great example of how modern methods of construction have been used to deliver the project efficiently, and the concrete frame and brick-clad façade were manufactured completely off-site, reducing construction time. We're incredibly proud to see the new surgical centre open and welcoming patients. #healthcare

🏫 Lisburne SEND School has officially opened in Stockport 🙌 Lisburne School has recently opened its doors and last week we marked this significant milestone with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by representatives from Stockport Council along with school staff and guests. We delivered the new £15.5 million facility on behalf of Stockport Council which has created 64 additional places. It has been designed to support children aged 4–11 with complex needs that include autism, severe and profound learning difficulties and physical disabilities. Featuring a forest school area, sensory garden and various outdoor spaces that enhance the curriculum, the new state-of-the-art school provides pupils with opportunities for social development, teamwork and physical activity. Sarah Morton, regional director at Kier Construction North & Scotland, said: “The completion of this new flagship SEND school will provide vital help for children in Stockport for generations to come. 🖊️ Signed, sealed and delivered. 🏗️ Students swapped writing Christmas cards for signing the last piece of steel being installed at Northolt High School earlier this month. At a special ceremony, members of the existing school joined staff and delivery partners as they celebrated the last piece of steel being lifted into place on the project, funded by the Department for Education, in west London. Key speeches followed by Northolt High School headteacher Mariann Budde and Kier Construction London & Thames Valley regional director, John Bolton. It was then time for the students and guests to head to a green routed part of site where they witnessed the steel being fitted into place. Lots of enthusiastic questions then followed from the students and staff in attendance who were gifted a special ceremonial spanner and some tasty chocolate treats to remember the day. 🏗️ Peaking into the future at LSEC's Greenwich Campus 🌤️ Watch when London South East Colleges (LSEC) hosted a special ‘topping out’ ceremony at its Greenwich Campus last month. Key stakeholders from LSEC, Greater London Authority, Royal Borough of Greenwich and Kier's London and Thames Valley business, attended to celebrate progress on the £45m development that will deliver cutting-edge educational facilities alongside 294 new homes once complete. Regional director for Kier Construction, John Bolton, was joined for speeches by Group Principal and CEO of LSEC Dr Sam Parrett OBE, London Deputy Mayor for Housing and Residential Development Tom Copley, and the Mayor and Mayoress of Greenwich, Cllr Jit Ranabhat and Mrs. Gaumaya Gurung Ranabhat. Work is underway on two new schools in Cardiff! The projects aim to increase The Court School's capacity and provide state-of-the-art facilities across two sites in Fairwater and Llanrumney. We were joined by key stakeholders on site last week for a start-on-site ceremony, during which pupils from the school broke ground and buried a time capsule! Cardiff Council

Scottish First Minister, John Swinney, has opened the new surgical centre at Golden Jubilee Hospital🏥 We have recently completed construction at NHS Golden Jubilee in Clydebank, increasing the hospital’s patient capacity and enabling the treatment of thousands of people waiting to access important care and procedures. The modern new facilities include five state-of-the-art orthopaedic theatres, a central sterilising and processing department, and five endoscopy procedure rooms – two of which are equipped with specialist training equipment for the NHS Scotland Academy, and an endoscopy decontamination unit. Modern Methods of Construction were used to deliver the project efficiently, and the concrete frame and brick-clad façade were manufactured completely off-site, reducing construction time. Recently our teams celebrated the topping out of two of our healthcare projects on the South Coast. The projects, located in Bournemouth and Poole, will greatly enhance the services available to those needing treatment for mental health issues. 1️⃣ The first of the two projects will provide a new high intensity ward for young people. It will enable patients to receive care in one space closer to home, reducing numbers of patients being sent out of their local area for treatment. 2️⃣ The second, at nearby St Ann’s Hospital in Poole, will provide a replacement adult Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit. It will contain a seven-bed male ward and a six-bed female ward, alongside a 14-bed adult mental health female ward. Delivered in partnership with the Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust and New Hospital Programme, both projects are making fantastic progress. #healthcare #kierconstruction
