Last year, Economic Development colleagues at Portsmouth City Council, Fareham Borough Council, Gosport Borough Council and Havant Borough Council joined together with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to create a collaborative redundancy support team, supporting businesses and resident workers across the area. Whilst redundancy and the reduction/closure of businesses is something we always hope to avoid, providing this valuable information and support is essential. This team was created from the recognition that resident workers flow across the wider area for work, making it imperative that a consistent package was in place, pulling together all available resources to give relevant and impactful support and signposting. The following webpage is now available with the information from across all four councils and the DWP for businesses and employees who may need it. Alternatively, the PCC business helpline is available Monday- Friday: 02392841641. Jane Lamer Kim Pellett Ian Bridges James Maw Stephanie Parker MBA CMgr MCMI Joseph G.
