National Apprenticeship Week is here! 🎉 The biggest week in the apprenticeships and skills calendar – a crucial time to raise awareness about apprenticeship pathways and ensure young people have the information they need to make informed decisions. Yet two-thirds of 16-24-year-olds say they don’t know enough about apprenticeships. That's where UCAS comes in. As a trusted source of information, we help nearly 1.5 million students each year explore their next steps. Around half tell us they’re interested in apprenticeships, and we’re committed to ensuring they have the same clarity, guidance, and support as those considering university. How we support students in exploring apprenticeships: 📖 Apprenticeship Industry Guides – Helping students understand the range of industries offering apprenticeships and which might be the right fit for them. 🏢 Employer Profiles – Showcasing apprenticeship opportunities from leading brands like Sky, BBC, Rolls Royce, Unilever and more, giving students a clearer picture of their future career options. 🎤 Podcasts on Degree Apprenticeships – Breaking down how apprenticeships compare to traditional degrees and what students need to know to make the right choice. 📽️ Case Studies & Day-in-the-Life Videos – Featuring real apprentices sharing their experiences, helping students see what an apprenticeship is really like. 🌐 Comprehensive Support Pages – Covering everything from what an apprenticeship is to how to find one. How we help students apply for apprenticeships: 🔍 Apprenticeship Vacancy Listings – Students can browse live vacancies on ucas.com, helping them connect with the right opportunities. 📬 Smart Vacancy Alerts – Matching students with apprenticeships based on location, industry, skills, and qualifications to help them find the best fit. 🛠️ Industry-Specific Application Guides – Offering tailored advice and top tips from employers and current apprentices to help students through the application process. 📄 CV Builder Tool – Empowering students to create, update, and share professional, industry-standard CVs to showcase their skills.
