There are a lot of things that could keep you in bed all day. Use a little imagination and we are sure you could come up with several on your own (clean thoughts please), but we also suspect a one of the best duvets wouldn't be top of your list. And we get it, when you think of duvet, you probably don't actually think that much about it.
But a great duvet really can be a game-changer. OK, that might be a little strong; it probably isn't going to bring it home if England are losing one of their Euro games. At least it gives you something to hide under though, right?
And what a delight Emma's Cloud Duvet would be to hide under. Really. When a company in the business of sleep puts 'Cloud' into a product name, it better make sure it gets it right and Emma has definitely done that with this one.
Cloud nine vibes
The Emma Cloud Duvet is exceptionally soft and with that comes a level of comfort you won't have been prepared for. Throw it over your legs and you'll get a warm, fuzzy feeling inside that will make you want to stay wherever you are all day, whether that's your sofa or your bed.
If you're going to give yourself a duvet day – everyone should do that once in a while – this is the duvet you will want to consider partnering up with. To be honest, there's a good chance you'll want to pencil in a few more of those days with this cover too because it really is dreamy and once it's on top of you, you're very unlikely to want to get up.
Emma doesn't give a tog rating – for those unfamiliar with the delights of duvet chat, that's the duvet's warmth. Usually you'd want around a 4 tog rating for summer months, and you might consider up to a 15 tog number for the super chilly winter months, though that would be in the warmer side.
We found the Cloud Duvet to be what we would call warm and snuggly, for want of a better phrase.
It's probably a little warm if the British weather decides to give us a full blown heatwave this summer, but then what duvet isn't too warm for those nights? If you're sleeping with anything other than a sheet in 30-degrees, that's impressive.
Microfibre goodness
Made from 100 per cent microfibre, or polyester of you're not being posh, the Emma Cloud Duvet is said to offer special temperature-regulating microfibres in order to deliver a flow of fresh air through. We wouldn't say it feels like there's a fan blowing up the duvet, but it's definitely airy, breathable and exceptionally comfortable.
Feather duvets might have a reputation for delivering the ultimate comfort when it comes to duvets, but the Emma Cloud Duvet gives them a good run for their money, and if you have allergies, you won't find yourself sneezing during your sleep either.
There's a 14-night sleep period if you want to try the Cloud Duvet out for yourself rather than just taking our word for it, but if you want to feel like you're wrapped up in a cloud, this duvet is a sure fire way to do it.
