Father-son duo, Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan, have been actively investing in real estate in Mumbai, curating an extravagant property portfolio. The Bachchan family, with a net worth of Rs 1,600 crore, according to Hurun India and other publicly available data, already owns five bungalows in the city - Jalsa, Pratiksha, Vatsa, Janak, and an 8,000 square feet home property behind Jalsa. They also have several flats in Mumbai and properties abroad, including in Paris and Dubai. Recently, Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan acquired more properties in Mumbai, and their newest purchase includes 10 apartments in Mulund.

Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan recently purchased 10 apartments worth Rs 24.95 crore in Mumbai's Mulund area, as per property registration documents accessed by Square Yards. The apartments, located in Oberoi Realty's project Oberoi Eternia, cover a total of 10,216 square feet and include 20 car parking spaces. Eight units have a carpet area of 1,049 square feet each, while the remaining two measure 912 square feet each.
The family paid a stamp duty of Rs 1.50 crore and registration fees of Rs 3 lakh for the properties, with all registrations completed on October 9, 2024, stated the report. Abhishek Bachchan bought six apartments for Rs 14.77 crore, while Amitabh Bachchan acquired the other four. All flats in Oberoi Eternia offer serene views of the Sanjay Gandhi National Park and Vihar Lake, and have a starting price of Rs 2.80 crore, according to the official Oberoi Realty website.
According to Hindustan Times citing Square Yards, Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan have invested over Rs 200 crore in real estate over the past four years, with more than Rs 100 crore being spent in 2024 alone. In June, Amitabh Bachchan purchased three office units in the Veer Savarkar Signature building in Andheri West, Mumbai, for approximately Rs 60 crore, as per documents accessed by FloorTap.com. These office units cover a total area of 8,429 square feet.
That same month, reports on Hindustan Times and The Economic Times said that Amitabh Bachchan also bought two apartments in Borivali for Rs 7 crore, while a few weeks earlier, Zapkey reported that Abhishek Bachchan had acquired six apartments in Borivali's Oberoi Sky City project for over Rs 15 crore.
