For me I recognize collaborators by showing what are the benefits they bring. Saying Thank You is great but does not bring real value.

1) Authentic and personalised verbal acknowledgement in person works well generally, whether in presence of others or not. 2) Different people appreciate different types of tangible acknowledgements, eg bubble tea treat for younger ones, and getting food/fruits for older ones. 3) Maintain professionalism without ulterior motives in work environment, eg treating a junior staff out of own pocket for a regular lunch, and/or giving appropriate corporate gifts to partners. 4) Acknowledgement level also depends on the amount of help rendered, eg treating colleague a nice meal if she goes over and above their workload to help during lunch hour/after work, and/or a common thank you email to all who contributed to the project as part of their work.
