Take solar PV as an example: the value chain spans financing, supply chain management, project execution, operations, sales, risk management, and more. If you're struggling in one phase, it might be wise to reassess your position and pivot to a vertical that better matches your expertise. Once you find your footing, you can either expand horizontally within your area of strength or pursue vertical growth across the value chain.

As fast as the industry is moving and changing, so should be our own perspectives. We need to be looking towards the next thing, the next evolution, the next opportunity. Not to be frantic about it, we should be intentional about where we are innovating, but we have to be innovating to keep up with this fast paced industry.
