Your resume typically isn't going to be a huge factor in a career switch - no matter how many relevant "certifications" you've upskilled with. In a hot market, applying can be helpful, but in a competitive market where your competition is much more experienced, I wouldn't recommend spending ANY time on cold applying. Your time would be much better spent getting to know people in the industry at local events, expressing your interest in switching careers, and good things will follow. It takes time, but not as much time as spamming resumes hoping for a miracle. Bonus points for learning new things from people in the industry along the way!
