Speak to customer service and or production to get a feel of what is coming and when. At the very least you have a rough estimate, at best you have accurate production information, timing and needs. Check your inventory, then get eyes on your inventory to verify your numbers are correct. Get on the phone to your suppliers (whether intracompany or outside vendor/s) immediately and verify their inventory. If they are short inform them of your immediate need and let them locate the rest of necessary raw material to complete your coming task and report back. Collect your data, mock prepare your orders so you are ready. Maybe your materials need to acclimate? Maybe its coming from a secondary supplier? Be prepared. Share your findings
