How 2BWell is Creating a Listening Community 2/2 In the previous post we talked about active listening. Here’s how we’re putting this into action: we’re combining the magic of active listening with Non-Violent Communication (NVC) techniques. Our volunteers will be trained to listen with intention, respond with compassion, and help clients navigate their challenges without judgment. It’s not therapy, but it’s a vital first step, one that can bridge the gap to professional help or simply provide comfort when it’s needed most. Think of it as building a safety net of kindness and understanding, one conversation at a time. Why it matters This is about more than just listening, it’s about showing up for people when they need it most. By integrating these approaches into our platform, we’re creating: • A space where clients feel seen and valued. • Immediate emotional support that’s accessible and stigma-free. • A foundation for deeper healing through stronger communication and understanding. How you can help We’re inviting partners and supporters to join us in amplifying this work. Together, we can create a mental health platform that makes a real difference for the Ukrainian community. Let’s show that listening, when done right, has the power to change lives!

How Listening Can Transform Lives 1/2 At 2BWell, we’re on a mission to create a mental health platform that truly supports Ukrainians affected by war. We believe healing starts with something beautifully simple but incredibly powerful: listening. What’s so special about active listening? It’s more than just nodding and saying “uh-huh.” Active listening means giving someone your full attention, making them feel heard, and reflecting back what they share in a way that builds trust. Research has consistently shown how this approach can reduce stress, foster emotional resilience, and help people process their experiences better. For example, studies highlight that when volunteers are trained in active listening techniques, they create spaces where individuals feel safe to open up and connect. These moments of genuine empathy can be life-changing for someone in emotional distress. Want to dive deeper into the science? Check out NHS Guide on active listening https://lnkd.in/eYBvYXnj and a PubMed study that explores its impact in peer support settings https://lnkd.in/easJZtr3 Next, we’ll discuss how 2BWell is implementing active listening within our platform. Ready to help? Reach out, and let’s make it happen!
