The Pan-African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA) is not just a consortium—it’s a movement for change! Bringing together over 2,000 organizations from 54 African countries, PACJA unites diverse groups including grassroots organizations, faith-based communities, indigenous peoples, farmers, and NGOs. Our shared mission? A rights-based, just, and inclusive approach to tackling the climate and environmental challenges that threaten humanity and the planet. Headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, and established in 2008, PACJA has become a trusted partner for intergovernmental agencies, governments, media, parliamentarians, and sector-based networks. We collaborate through innovative, targeted initiatives to empower vulnerable groups—women, youth, local, and indigenous communities—to defend their rights and thrive in a healthy environment. 🌱 Why This Matters: The African Activists for Climate Justice (AACJ) Consortium, funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, exemplifies PACJA’s commitment to justice. In a consortium of 5 organizations, The Pan African Climate Justice, Oxfam Novib, Natural Justice, Africa Youth Commission, and FEMNET, we address the stark reality of climate injustice: those least responsible for the crisis bear the heaviest burden. Our work spans multiple countries, including Kenya, Ethiopia, Senegal, South Africa, Kenya, Burkina Faso, Mozambique, and Nigeria, ensuring that Africa’s voice is central in shaping climate policies and solutions rooted in justice and equity. 🔗 Interested in being part of this transformative journey?
