Today, our dedicated team performed the first surgery at the new outpatient surgery center in One Health Park. Just one week after our ribbon cutting, our surgery services team cared for our first surgery patient, marking the beginning of a new era in exceptional health care. One Health Park is a state-of-the-art facility designed to enhance access to care and improve patient experiences. It features outpatient surgery, on-site imaging, lab services, physical therapy, and an entire floor dedicated to physician offices. We are recognizing Emily Cole, MPAS, PA-C, who goes out of her way to care for her patients with uncommon compassion at AdventHealth Medical Group Cardiology at Medical Office Building. One of Emily's patients shared she had been experiencing chronic bronchitis for years. The patient said doctors had told her she was just experiencing chronic heart failure. When the patient came to Emily for care, she said Emily truly listened and went out of her way to investigate the symptoms. She said Emily felt it could be more than just chronic heart failure. Emily concluded the patient could be having a COPD flare up. She recommended antibiotics and within 18 hours of starting the antibiotics the patient says miraculously she started to feel relief from her symptoms. The patient says that "Emily saved her life." Thank you, Emily!
