Dekalb County's Nurse Navigation Program is leading EMS innovation! In 2024, Dekalb County's Nurse Navigation program managed more than 11,000 calls, saving millions in healthcare costs and improving emergency response. By connecting non-life-threatening calls with licensed nurses, this program allows for the optimization of resources and ensures the right care at the right time. The GMR 911 Nurse Navigation program is now expanding across 30 communities, and we look forward to seeing the continued positive impact it will make nationwide. “Nearly half of our 911 calls in DeKalb involve conditions that don’t pose an immediate threat to life or limb,” said GMR South Region Vice President of Operations Brett Jovanovich. “With the support of our parent company’s innovative Nurse Navigation program, AMR can dedicate its advanced resources to life-threatening emergencies while seamlessly guiding non-urgent callers to high-quality, alternative care solutions.” #OneTeam #NurseNavigation https://ow.ly/JJTW50V33ty

An impactful reunion. Clifton Brandon of Hartford, CT, recently reunited with AMR paramedics Alexander Megquier and Marnie Crosskey who performed a lifesaving blood transfusion. Thanks to AMR Hartford's unique Whole Blood Program in partnership with Saint Francis Hospital and the Saint Francis Blood Bank, our team members are part of a select 1.2% of EMS providers nationwide who are able to administer whole blood in the field. This program highlights the crucial role of early blood transfusions and the importance of continued support for these life-sustaining services. "In Hartford, we are incredibly fortunate to have the support of Saint Francis Hospital, the Saint Francis Blood Bank, and a medical director committed to pushing the boundaries of prehospital care," said Brandon Bartell, AMR Hartford Operations Manager. "Most EMS providers don’t have that advantage, leaving many patients across Connecticut, New England, and the nation without access to the survival benefits of prehospital blood transfusions." #OneTeam https://ow.ly/bIGH50UVTwi
