American Jesuits International joins the Global Campaign for Education-US and other U.S. advocates in celebrating the passage of the READ Act Reauthorization Act. This piece of legislation reaffirms the U.S. commitment to advancing global literacy and education around the globe and will have a direct impact on education programs in marginalized communities like those where our partners work in Latin America, Africa, and Asia. It passed by the House on December 11 and by the Senate today. Public advocacy is a long a difficult journey, but this approval shows that together, we can keep moving towards a world where every child has access to quality education.

In Argentina, we are working with Fe y Alegría Argentina to ensure quality, #InclusiveEducation for students with learning difficulties. On #WorldChildrensDay, we celebrate the impact of quality, accessible, and inclusive education for all children. Together we are raising awareness about educational inclusion. Our project is built around three key components: baseline assessments and diagnostics, teacher training with support from educational psychologists and social workers, and engagement with the educational community, families, and the broader inclusive education network.
