Trade-offs between Stakeholder Expectation and Attainment Pressures in Corporate Carbon Target Management." at Journal of Management Studies This study examines how firms might manipulate carbon targets to appear more ambitious while actually relaxing them. The paper reviews 50 years of trends in teaching environmental sustainability in the Journal of Management Education, offering insights to improve pedagogy for this critical subject. It highlights progress in integrating climate science with management topics and fostering student leadership but identifies three key challenges: applying systems theory, balancing pedagogies for macro-level systems, and prioritizing planetary over business sustainability. 📚 Research Alert from the ONE Community 🌿 📖 Based on an AOM symposium in 2022 Rikke Rønholt Albertsen, Shahzad Ansari, Katrin Heucher, Dr Marc Krautzberger, Ann Langley, Pauline Reinecke, Natalie Slawinski, and Eero Vaara published an article titled "Strategizing together for a better world: Institutional, paradox and practice theories in conversation." In this article the authors discuss the application of institutional, paradox, and practice theories to grand challenges. Covering topics like theoretical limitations, materiality, impact, and theory-practice relations, the symposium explored strengths, weaknesses, and future research intersections.
