Incorporating isometric exercises into your routine improves muscle activation, joint health, and mental resilience while minimizing body wear and tear. Key Takeaways Strength and Stability: Isometric training builds strength and improves joint stability by engaging muscles in static holds without dynamic movement. Injury Prevention: It reduces joint stress and is ideal for injury recovery and long-term joint health. Improved Muscle Activation: Isometric exercises recruit hard-to-activate muscle fibers, enhancing overall muscle strength and control. Mental Resilience: Holding challenging positions builds mental toughness, fostering discipline and focus. Versatility: Isometric training is adaptable to all fitness levels and can complement dynamic exercises. An excellent highlight by Fitt Insider is how Americans are stressed out by work. Helping address this by teaching high-performing CEOs, business owners, and employees how to prioritize their health in today's demanding society is a massive part of what we do here at Apex Human Performance. We only see our clients for an hour a day, so a big part of their success comes from the other 23 hours they are not with us. This is where educating our clientele on the best approach to nutrition, exercise, and sleep for them becomes crucial. Outside of the bottom line for employers, Americans need to prioritize their health. Otherwise, they will spend all their hard-earned money on healthcare bills in their later years instead of enjoying them to the fullest.
Work stress is bringing Americans down. The majority of US employees say poor well-being at work is impacting job performance — with 57% reporting negative health issues as a result, per the APA. Expanding scope globally, Wellhub’s State of Work-Life Wellness Report found: 🧠 47% of workers say their job is affecting their mental health. 🏋️ Only 54% of employees consider themselves physically fit. 💤 71% report getting <7 hours of sleep per night. 🥗 Just 40% feel their diet is healthy. Bad for bottom lines, burnt out employees cost the global economy $8.9T. More than maximizing PTO or perks, supporting workers in establishing pillars of a healthy life—through movement, food, sleep, and relationships—changes the way work is approached. Employers must exercise trust and flexibility to reset the ethic, restore purpose, and support more enriching lives. [📊: Wellhub’s The State of Work-Life Wellness Report 2024]

Oura has a great jump on this with the acquisition of Veri and Oura beta testing a meals feature in their app. Allowing users to see how meal timing impacts their sleep, which provides insights into the users glucose levels. Sleep and glucose levels go hand in hand. Exciting things to come!
Apple reportedly recruited employees to test an app for prediabetes management — pairing CGMs with food logging features and lifestyle coaching features. While the app won’t be released, insights from the project could inform future products, as the company gains understanding of how to leverage live blood sugar data for better health. The tech giant joins ŌURA, Dexcom, Abbott, Biolinq, and others aiming to cash in on America’s metabolic health awakening.
