  • On this Giving Tuesday and every day this giving season, we invite you to celebrate the successes of the students and families that Areté serves. Our donation page is live, enabling us to purchase warm clothing, groceries, and hot meals for our students and families, as well as funding academic programming! Areté provides students with 500 extra hours of academic and extracurricular experiences each year that provide access to books and computers, healthy meals, structured exercise, paid internships, financial life skills, mentorship, and trips to cultural institutions. Additionally, we offer Social Emotional Learning programming that empowers students to be emotional intelligence ambassadors in our communities. This December, we are excited to announce the launch of our elementary school program at P.S. 57 Crescent in the Bronx. With this addition, Areté now proudly partners with four schools across New York City: • The Laboratory School of Finance and Technology (MS 223) in Mott Haven • P.S. 59: The Dawn Best School in Bed-Stuy • The High School for Media and Communications in Washington Heights • P.S. 57 Crescent in Crotona Together, we’re empowering students and families through transformative academic and enrichment programs. Join us in supporting Areté's vital programming and spreading generosity, joy, and connection this season! Last month we teamed up with Areté Education Inc. and The Laboratory School of Finance & Technology on their first Workplace Challenge. Students from the 10th grade spent a week researching rare diseases and associated health inequities to raise awareness of these conditions. They created communication materials to share what they learned with their peers and the community. Check out their work on our page this week! Thank you to all the students and collaborators that made this program possible. #raredisease #workplacechallenge #community #healthequity
