Ayrshire College is thrilled to announce the addition of a new wind tunnel to our aeronautical engineering program, generously loaned by the Prestwick branch of the Royal Aeronautical Society. Designed by local expert Ian Adams, this equipment enhances hands-on learning in aerodynamics and airflow analysis - key areas for aspiring aerospace engineers. The wind tunnel was recently showcased at the International Ayr Show – Festival of Flight 2024, where attendees witnessed its capabilities first-hand. This portable addition complements our existing fixed wind tunnel, making it possible to integrate practical experiments into classroom-based learning. This partnership demonstrates the power of collaboration in creating a rich learning environment and reinforces Ayrshire College's role as a hub for aerospace innovation.
