Taktile is the risk decision platform for the AI age. As volume increases, loyalty and keeping customers engaged beyond their needs is the only real defense. The winners aren’t the ones with the most features, the flashiest designs, or the most advanced technology. The winners... - Show value immediately (Sheer Health) - Know exactly who your customer is and isn't (Ranger) - Build brand love and community (Quit With Jones) - Listen more than talk and delight with unmet wants (Suno) - Design solutions that make life easier, not just more complex (Baselayer) - Deeply empathize/ have lived the problem (Sourgum Waste) Technology will rarely be enough anymore—it’s how you use it to serve real people, build a customer-obsessed culture, solve real problems, and not just serve needs, but delight wants. It's easy enough for an early team to be obsessed with their customer, but more nuanced to ensure employee #1000+ cares as much and is as paranoid about 'continuous delight'. Another silver lining if you can create 'true love' is that your customers will sell your product for you 🩷

Smaller institutions usually have fewer resources and less internal data than large banks to help identify potentially fraudulent behaviors. One way for them to level that playing field is through fraud consortiums, according to a March 2024 report from the U.S. Department of the Treasury. A spate of fraud consortiums started in late 2022 and 2023 could help do just that. I decided to check in with the newer fraud consortiums and see how it's going. For this story, I tried to get in touch with as many newer consortiums as I could and want to thank everyone who was so generous with their time: Unit21, Sonar, Baselayer, Plaid and Socure.
