Shout out to past board member, Trai Bunch for sharing his story, for serving on the board and who I know continues to be an advocate for mentoring.
It's our favorite day of the week. Happy #ThrowbackThursday, fam! Take a look at Big Shaun and Little Trai, both proud Big Brothers Big Sisters of Johnson County alumni, who were matched in 2002. Swipe through to see their journey over the years, with a sweet final picture of the two of them with Shaun's child! "I serve as a Board Member because I was a Little twice, and I have firsthand experience of the impact a positive role model creates in a child's life." - Alumni Little Trai #BiggerTogether #BeBig

So privileged to have Kai and Tristan part of the BBBSJC Village. Kai is a recent High School graduate and no doubt, will go and do great things! Tristan, is a powerful Big, supporting other Littles, stay tuned for more on that :).
As we celebrate #PrideMonth, I’m inspired by the stories of Bigs and Littles across the country who create safe, inclusive spaces for one another while inspiring each other to thrive - not just this month - but all year long. Stories like Little Kai and Big Tristan of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Johnson County who embody the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. Thank you Kai and Tristan for sharing your story, highlighting the importance of representation and reminding us that mentorship is a two-way street. Happy #PrideMonth! #BeBig #BiggerTogether

We couldn't be more grateful for the support of Riverside Casino-- https://lnkd.in/g5HdS6Ff "My team was adamant on Big Brothers Big Sisters of Johnson County when deciding what local organization we would choose for our Giving Back initiative,” Damon John, General Manager at Riverside Casino & Golf Resort said. “Our participation at their annual ‘Bowl for Kids’ Sake’ outlines our team’s support to the local youth, part of the reason we decided to pick this organization for our February Giving Back. Through our Giving Back initiative and donations through ‘Bowl for Kids’ Sake,’ we raised $10,080 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Johnson County."
