BIO Ventures for Global Health (BVGH) is a Seattle-based nonprofit organization working at the crossroads of the private and public sectors to advance research and improve health. #BVGH #bvghAAI #AC3T BVGH connects people, resources, and ideas across biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, governments, and nonprofits to solve global health issues. Programmatic activities include accelerating research and development (R&D) for diseases of poverty, expanding access to cancer medicines and technologies in Africa, and building biomedical R&D capacity in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).

  • Visit BVGH Learn to view newly released digital courses on clinical trial management, tumor boards, and hematologic malignancies! These courses build on a library of educational resources developed by BVGH to address the clinical and research priorities—across cancer and infectious diseases—of our African Access Initiative (AAI) and Global Innovation Alliance (GIA) partners in low- and middle-income countries. Each lecture is customized and recorded on video by international experts who volunteer their time and knowledge. Certificates of achievement are awarded to participants who complete courses and all assignments. Courses can be taken and completed when convenient for each participant.   • In collaboration with the National Cancer Control Programme in Kenya and on behalf of BVGH, you are invited to attend our upcoming AAI Breast Cancer Early Detection & Referral digital training beginning on December 4th. This is a two-part lecture series is tailored to meet the multidisciplinary needs of pathologists, laboratory technicians, nurses, radiologists, radiology technicians, and other members of the cancer care team. Certificates of participation will be awarded to individuals who complete the pre- and post-course assessments and attend at least one lecture live.   Part I consists of 6 sessions focused on the early detection of breast cancer and covers breast biopsies and laboratory tests, the patient pathway, communicating with patients, and more.   Part II will focus on operationalizing mammography systems, breast ultrasound, imaging quality control, and more, and will launch in early 2025   Register here: https://lnkd.in/gRdB88wV

  • BVGH is pleased to invite you to attend our upcoming AAI Introduction to Common Cancers in the Community digital training program, which will launch on Thursday, November 14th. This 13-session digital lecture series is tailored to meet the needs of all frontline healthcare workers who engage patients at the primary healthcare level including primary care physicians, nurses, midwives, and community health workers. Sessions will cover cancer signs and symptoms, screening, patient navigation, psychosocial support, and more. This training program will continue into January 2025.
