Kudos to Georgia Institute of Technology for taking a big step forward in campus mobility! The new Ferst Drive Cycle Track is a game-changer for safety and convenience. It's great that they're prioritizing micromobility users - from bikes to e-scooters, you name it. This kind of infrastructure not only makes getting around campus easier but also promotes sustainable transportation. Its a smart investment that shows Georgia Tech is thinking ahead about campus connectivity and students well-being. Can't wait to see the whole track in action!
The northern arc of the Ferst Drive cycle track is now open, providing Georgia Tech's micromobility users — bicycles, e-bikes, e-scooters, and e-skateboards — a safe and convenient route from 6th Street NW to the mid-block crossing at the Klaus Advanced Computing Building and Mac Nease Baseball Park. As construction progresses, sections will open in phases, enhancing campus travel while ensuring safety and convenience. 🚲🛹 | c.gatech.edu/42gOxmF

As devastating fires continue to impact Los Angeles communities, Bird is committed to supporting our city during this challenging time. Starting today, we’re launching a week-long initiative where Bird will cover the cost to round up each ride taken in LA and Long Beach to the nearest dollar. 100% of these proceeds will be donated directly to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, supporting their critical fire relief efforts. Additionally, we’ve compiled essential resources for those affected, including: - Emergency shelter locations - Real-time evacuation maps - Free N95 mask distribution points - Critical support services To our first responders working tirelessly to protect our communities - your dedication and bravery inspire us all. We’re proud to be part of a community that comes together in times of need. Stay informed. Stay Safe #LAStrong #CommunitySupport #LosAngeles

Great news from City of Atlanta Department of Transportation! Five new micromobility corrals have been installed across the city, thanks to grants from AARP Georgia. These corrals make streets safer and sidewalks clearer for everyone—pedestrians, bikers, and scooter riders alike 🙌 We’re grateful for ATLDOT’s continued efforts to improve mobility and accessibility in #Atlanta. A special shoutout to Ashley Finch for her exceptional work in managing these programs 👏
ATLDOT is excited to share that we've installed five more micromobility corrals around the city thanks to grants from AARP Georgia! While our micromobility corrals add a convenient resource for bike and scooter users, they're a win for pedestrians too! They enhance safety and mobility for pedestrians by clearing sidewalks and improving visibility at crosswalks. The best news? We'll be installing more in 2025! Stay tuned. #MovingAtlantaForward #VisionZeroATL #ATLDOT

🚲🛴🌆 Toronto’s Future Needs All Forms of Shared Micromobility At Bird, we’re passionate about helping cities thrive with sustainable, innovative transportation solutions. Our Canadian Head of Partnerships, Austin Spademan, recently shared his insights in the Toronto Star about why shared e-scooter and e-bike programs are essential to Toronto’s future. In the article, Austin highlights the critical role these programs can play in reducing congestion 🚦, cutting emissions 🌱, and connecting communities 🤝. He also underscores how a regulated shared micromobility program could have strengthened Toronto's stance against Bill 212 (which seeks to remove bike lanes), offering a compelling alternative for urban transportation. Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gQMNBxfs We remain committed to working with policymakers and communities to bring safe, equitable, and impactful micromobility solutions to cities globally 🌎. Soaring into November and looking back proudly on the work Bird riders did in October to live out our mission of creating vibrant communities that have less traffic and cleaner air. 💙🌎 For the 3rd year in a row, Bird participated in #CaliforniaCleanAirDay, a project of the Coalition for Clean Air. We are proud to be awarded as the #1 pledging organization, offering free Bird rides on Clean Air Day and having 930 riders and employees pledging to do their part: choosing cleaner alternatives, making more sustainable lifestyle changes, and creating a positive impact on California's air pollution crisis. Bird is passionate about improving the communities we operate in, and the annual California Clean Air Day is a reminder of actions big and small that you can do to build a Cleaner California. Every choice counts, like choosing an e-scooter over a car! 🛴 To learn more about the Coalition for Clean Air's work, or get involved for 2025's California Clean Air Day, visit www.cleanairday.org.
Thank you for celebrating the 7th annual #CleanAirDayCA with us! Check out some event highlights. 👓
