It’s official. We have broken ground on our new Public Works Yard! This exciting project will provide staff with new administrative and training spaces, 8,000 square feet of two-way garage space for fleet maintenance and improved public access. The site is a five-acre parcel on Lake Glad Road, just across the street from our existing complex, which we will retain to provide continued support to the department. As Wendell grows, we are committed to ensuring that our facilities are equipped to continue providing the same level of exceptional service to all of our residents, while accommodating the needs of our staff.

Last week, Boomerang was proud to join the Town of Wendell for the groundbreaking of their new Public Works Building. This ~20,000 SF facility will support essential town services with spaces created for both administrative and operational needs. 🎉 Celebrating Milestones: Tulls Creek Beam Topping Ceremony! 🎉 Last Thursday, we reached a key milestone for the new Tulls Creek elementary school with a beam topping ceremony! Watching the final beam go up was a great moment for everyone involved. This future Currituck County school is coming together thanks to the teamwork of our design crew at Boomerang and Sussex Development Corporation. We’re excited to see this project take shape and look forward to the next steps as Tulls Creek moves closer to welcoming students and staff. Stay tuned—more updates to come!
