Introducing “Navigating Together: Loss Mom's Monthly Circle! We are excited to announce the rebranding of our monthly support group, formerly known as the Loss Mom's Open Hour. Now titled "Navigating Together: Loss Mom's Monthly Circle," this group offers a compassionate space for women who have experienced pregnancy loss at any stage. We are thrilled to partner with Dr. Arielle Jordan, Ph.D, LCPC of Mindset Quality LLC, a fellow loss mom and expert in emotional healing, who will co-host this space alongside us. Dr. Jordan is a licensed clinical professional counselor and national certified counselor with over eight years of experience helping people heal from life’s toughest challenges. Arielle specializes in guiding clients through PTSD, grief, and trauma with proven, effective methods. This year, the Monthly Circle will meet every 3rd Tuesday at 7 PM EST. We’ll share stories, support one another, and engage in meaningful healing prompts, creating a community of understanding and hope. We can’t wait to gather with you in this reimagined space of connection and healing. Mark your calendars📆, our first meeting will be January 21st with the discussion topic, Foundations of Healing. Thank you Nicole Kumi, PhD, PMH-C for sharing about the Gala and the organization. It was amazing to have you in the room to celebrate with us 💜
What a beautiful evening at the SAILS gala last night. Stillborn and Infant Loss Supports is a non profit organization supporting parents who have experienced the unthinkable, and last night they showcased their amazing work as well as honored all of the babies they have become connected to. Through the stories of tragedy came hope, courage, and connection and its beautiful to see this organization truly doing Gods work. I was honored to have attended and it fuels me to continue to work in this field. I’m in awe that a year ago I didn’t know some of these people and now, they’ve become like family, and that’s the true essence of maternal mental health 💜. Sadija A. Smiley, MBA Stephanie Hack, MD, MPH I just adore you both and look forward to our continued connection and movements in maternal mental health.

We were honored to participate in the Maryland Charity Campaign kickoff yesterday at the Maryland State Highway Administration. A heartfelt thank you to the State of Maryland for creating opportunities for state employees to support local nonprofits, and to the State Highway Administration for the invitation to share more about Stillborn And Infant Loss Support (SAILS). Community support is crucial in our work to support families who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss. What a heartfelt, helpful and necessary conversation 💜
What four words can change a woman's life? “I’ve been there too.” It took me years of practicing medicine before I felt comfortable enough to share my own experience of recurrent pregnancy loss with my patients. But once I did, it made a world of difference. Those who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss need a safe space for these conversations—somewhere they can know they are not alone. In honor of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, I’m bringing a conversation that is often held in private into the public space. Tune in to this conversation with Sadija A. Smiley, MBA of Stillborn And Infant Loss Awareness as we discuss the emotions, challenges, and support that surround these difficult losses. Remember, regardless of your experience, your loss is significant and your grief is valid. https://lnkd.in/esXHwJur
