As we marked the one-year anniversary of the launch of Breakwall Capital LP Capital this month, we want to take a moment to highlight the progress that we’ve made in supporting businesses across the energy landscape. Our core investment strategy aims to solve the “energy trilemma”— a concept we’ve adopted that places equal importance on balancing energy reliability, affordability and environmental sustainability. We are proud to finance projects across all facets of the respective conventional energy, renewable energy and “next generation” energy economies, seeing that as the best path to a cleaner, reliable and more secure energy future. Since inception last year, our journey has been one of growth, and we start the new year with a dedicated group of eight professionals with the additions of Amy Springs, Neel Ahuja and Zachary H. Jetton, fueling expansion across our Houston, New York and Rhode Island offices. Together we’ve collaborated and celebrated meaningful achievements across our platform, many of which are highlighted in the graphic below. As we look ahead in 2025, we are excited to build upon the momentum we have achieved as we work towards constructing a more sustainable and resilient energy landscape. I’d like to share that RWE and Peabody have entered into a 5+GW partnership for the development of solar and storage. Beyond the initial 5GWs in IL and IN this relationship extends to all Peabody reclaimed mines globally. I’d like to thank the entire RWE team for supporting this transaction as well as Justin Burke (Peabody), Chris Wittenauer (Peabody/R3), Patrick Forkin (Peabody/R3), Daniel Flannery (Breakwall Capital), Patrick Murphy (Summit Capital Partners), and in particular the R3 team and John Jones for their dedication over the last several months. Several benefits to this partnership: - Creating significant rural economic development in jobs, taxes, local and domestic investment. - Continuing strong energy independence - Ability to help mitigate use of rural prime farm ag lands - Repurposing Brownfield sites for economic generation Thank you again to all involved in the transaction and in particular, I look forward to a prosperous relationship with Peabody Energy.

Thank you to Hart Energy, Stephen Trauber and Dylan Tornay for a great panel discussion with a great community at the 2024 Hart Energy Capital conference. In addition, thank you Nissa Darbonne (executive editor at Hart) for the air-time to discuss current thoughts around traditional financing options for energy companies, and how that ties in and creates an opportunity for the more tailored lending solutions we provide at Breakwall Capital LP.

Great Bloomberg interview with our long time friend and counsel Richard Farley, partner at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP. Can’t say we weren’t a bit touched with the shoutout when discussing the evolution of the private credit market towards certain sector specialists, highlighting Breakwall Capital in the energy sector. https://lnkd.in/eKuN-28W
