This weekend Buy From A Black Woman won a Silver Stevie® Award for Organization of The Year and I won a Silver Stevie® Award for Woman of The Year at The Stevie® Awards for Women in Business, which has been running for 21 years. Out of over 1,500 nominations from organizations in 36 nations and territories, we were selected because: - We've directly supported over 600 businesses - Last year we helped Black Women Business Owners earn $2.7 Million+ in revenue despite the DEI cuts - Our online directory connects Black Women-Owned Brands with 50,000+ consumers every year - We've hosted 160+ workshops and trainings - We've put 65 Black Women-Owned Brands on H&M shelves in the US and Canada - We've awarded 45 grants and supported 24 business owners through our Black Woman Relief Fund - We've helped 27 founders get their National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) Minority Business Enterprise certifications And these are just some of the highlights. We've been doing this work since 2016, so we're proud to receive awards like this that recognize how we're making the business landscape more accessible for Black Women. It's an honor to be recognized among women who are driving progress in their fields, and we'll continue to do the work whether it's trending or not.
