  • This is your invitation to join our roundtable as a member of the ‘Candid Council’. We’re looking for a dozen candidates to become our superusers. We realise that these next few months are going to be all about learning, course correcting and improving. The support for Candid has been overwhelming so far and we couldn’t be more grateful - but we know that we’ve achieved nothing yet. We have a chance to re-write how companies and candidates match with each other across hospitality and we’re determined not to fluff our lines. “If you want to go fast, go alone - if you want to go far, go together”. We’re going to need as much feedback, honest insight & ‘gut-feel’ reporting as possible from those actually using the platform during the pilot. So we’re inviting a handful of candidates to join our anonymous Candid Council. Your identities would never be shared publicly, but you would be invited to a WhatsApp group with our two founders - meaning that members will know each other. In line with The Candid Oath, you’ll be asked not to share the other member’s identities. You’ll have a direct line to highlight what needs improving, what would make your experience more enjoyable, or simply share ideas that come to mind on how we could make Candid a more inclusive, effective solution. We’ll also float proposed updates or features past you first to get your feedback.   • Can candidates please line up two by two, because it’s time to board the ARC 🦁🦓🐘🦒 Today is a big one, as we’re delighted to announce that Arc Inspirations are the latest company to join Candid Hospitality. The multi-award winning operator, co-founded by the highly respected Martin Wolstencroft, runs three distinct brands: BOX, Banyan & Manahatta. Their four company values run through all levels of the business and now we’ll be matching them with candidates who already personify their culture.   • Eposability have gone Candid 🥳🔍 With over 20 years experience of supplying technology to the UK hospitality sector, these guys have seen plenty of trends come and go - so we're delighted that they've seen something special in Candid Hospitality. A third of all our registered candidates currently work within hospitality suppliers, so Eposability are going to have access to a huge pool of hidden talent, all experienced in supporting hospitality operators. The Lightspeed Global Partner of the Year work with a number of the best loved brands in the sector and have some very exciting growth plans for 2025. We cannot wait to see how they use Candid to find the right additions to their team.   • In November alone, over 500 candidates registered for Candid Hospitality’s pilot scheme… and we had literally no idea why 😅 So, before we open the gates, we thought it would be wise to understand why candidates were signing up in such numbers and from across so many different departments & seniority levels. We wrote to everyone asking if they could tell us what had attracted them to join. We received a whopping 60+ responses, a handful of which we’ve included here. Of course, all identities are hidden (protected by the Candid Oath 📜), but we’ve included the current job title for each quote 🔍 Sill, we're taking nothing for granted and the requests for feedback wont be stopping here. Over the next three months, we'll be gathering as much daily feedback as possible so that when the doors open properly in March we have the strongest possible platform to roll out across all of UK Hospitality. We’ve been so lucky to have so many incredible operators and suppliers jump on board, and this morning feels like another ‘pinch us’ moment.   • This is the face of a man who stayed up well past his bedtime to crack a mind-bending mathematical problem 🥳 Our co-founders found themselves once again locked in an Airbnb for 48 hours earlier this week... apparently that's where they do their best thinking 🤔🧘♂️ This was the final piece of the puzzle and one that is critical to the matching algorithm that will ensure candidates are paired with companies who have the right culture for their personality type, every time.
