🏥🤖 Another #study confirms that the healthcare sector sees great potential in artificial intelligence. Recent findings from the Center for Connected Medicine at UPMC reveal that AI continues to dominate as the most promising emerging technology in healthcare for the fourth consecutive year 📈 Key insights from the survey of 55 hospital and health system leaders: 👉 85% of respondents identified AI as having significant potential to enhance administration, operations, and clinical care 💼🩺 👉 AI demonstrated the most improvement among emerging technologies for the second year in a row. 👉 Advancements in large language models and generative AI were cited as particularly noteworthy. #Generative AI is garnering substantial interest for its potential applications in clinical documentation, information retrieval across patient data, and automated patient communication. ⚠️ However, the enthusiasm for AI implementation is tempered by the need to ensure high-quality patient care and robust data privacy measures. Industry leaders highlight the importance of addressing concerns about the accuracy, accountability, and potential #bias of AI systems. Interestingly, #telehealth and virtual care technologies also received recognition, with 13 leaders noting significant improvements in these areas over the past two years 🤔 It is worth noting that the medical community is not of one mind when it comes to AI, some doctors have concerns about the technology – and rightly so 😟 🚩 If you are more interested in the topic of what medical professionals think about AI tools, then know that some time ago we wrote an article on our blog about exactly that: Generative AI in Healthcare - Doctors' Perspectives and Statistical Insights: https://lnkd.in/d4AWBDqW -- source: https://lnkd.in/dtsBbb4h
