This week, we're at AGU! 🌎 Washington D.C. is the city host for this year's American Geophysical Union (AGU) annual meeting. Having a poster on display is one of many ways that scientists engage and communicate with their community about current areas of research during these events. Outstanding visit today with the great team of the US #Navy - Defense Supercomputing Resource Center (DSRC) located at the U.S. Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command at Stennis Space Center. Thanks so much to Director Christine E. Cuicchi, Jennifer Rabert, Bryan Comstock and their great team for hosting. And thanks to CNMOC Tech Director Dr. Joe Calantoni for his vision in championing this tech for meeting strategic requirements of the Navy and joint force. The Navy DSRC is one of the five supercomputing centers operated by the HPCMP - High Performance Computing Modernization Program and supports critical #researchanddevelopment activities and the transition of tools for operational modeling and simulation needs across the Navy as well as other requirements across the #DOD. These include premier high-performance computing systems such as Narwhal and the new 17+ PetaFlop BlueBack system which will begin supporting users early 2025! #computing #data #modeling #simulation #science #engineering #innovation
