Great to see what others are building — hosting Collage was a blast! 🚀📚 🗣️ At Atlas Digital Consulting Group we started something new: Our Startup Spotlight Series! Throughout the semester, we will invite founders to join us at our meetings, virtually or in person. 💻 Our first founders to speak were Max Feldman and Alex Wang, who, with Zichen Zhang, are building a platform where college students can access a personalized course catalog and AI academic advising! Check it out at collageapp.info! 🎤 Want to speak at an event, or get involved with us in general? Feel free to message me on LinkedIn, or email vkaushik [at] umich [dot] edu!

  • Learn how our CTO Zichen Zhang developed our AI advisor and what Collage means to him below! “As the CTO of Collage, my role allows me to explore technologies that directly benefit college students, particularly those who feel marginalized or overwhelmed by the academic planning process. Working on the AI Advisor and server at Collage means not only utilizing the latest works in the research community of LLM agents but also creating solutions that can meaningfully impact students’ educational journeys. What excites me most about Collage is our ability to humanize technology and democratize education. While many big tech companies and Silicon Valley startups focus on training models to compete on various benchmarks, we are using LLM agents to create deeper connections—between students, their educational paths, and their peers. With the latest open-source frameworks, including LlamaIndex and LangChain, our platform goes beyond a basic chatbot, offering personalized advice that feels almost as intuitive as consulting with a real academic advisor, especially for those worldwide who can not afford private tutoring or advising services. I hope that Collage, a startup and a mission crafted by students, for students, can be an example for the world that instead of replacing jobs, AI technologies can be an enhancement to people’s lives.” #edtech #AI #Collage #startups

  • Our CEO Max Feldman had an incredible time speaking on the importance of diversity in startups and offering his advice to aspiring student entrepreneurs at Sigma Eta Pi – University of Michigan's DEI and Entrepreneurship Panel. Learn more below!

In SEPi News: DEI and Entrepreneurship Panel On September 9, during our open rush round, Sigma Eta Pi held our DEI and Entrepreneurship Panel, organized by our VP of DEI, Esthel Yi. The panel consisted of 5 brothers (Kevin Toledo, Madia Adnan, Shreyas Sreeprakash, Max Feldman, Melisa Orduna) and 1 special guest, Jenni Yim. Jenni is a trainer at ZingTrain which she joined in 2022. ZingTrain is a branch of Zingerman's that focuses on helping and training organizations to be an engaging environment for their customers and staff. Some of Jenni's training specialties include customer service, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB), How to Improve (Standard Operating Procedures) and Dialogue, and teaching internal Zingerman’s classes. During this event, we asked our panelists questions about their individual experiences- whether that was working at an internship or job, their time in SEPi, or any entrepreneurial advice they had. The panelists also discussed DEI in their workplace and the value of diverse opinions in entrepreneurship. Finally, rushees were given the opportunity to ask panelists questions directly and network with our panelists and other brothers at the end. We thank the panelists for their thoughtful insights and time. Thank you to everyone for attending!
