An amazing day - 17 PERCENT , a short film #documentary of my life and the emphasis on the employment struggles for people with #disabilities was chosen today as a winner by The Academy Awards in London! PA post from Mom! 34 years ago today you were born and I was told of this diagnosis called Down syndrome, which back then, I knew nothing about. Following that the head nurse visited me, sat in the edge of my bed and said there is no shame in wanting to give my baby with DS up for adoption. Well I TRULY hope those days are OVER. My life has been BLESSED and full of LOVE. I have become the best version of myself because of you Collette and everyday I feel so lucky God trusted me with you. Thank you for this amazing journey in life and the gratefulness I feel everyday. That is all because of you Collette. Happy birthday darling❤️.

It was an honor to be the keynote speaker yesterday at The Kansas Capitol in Topeka for the Heartland's Disability Employment and Innovation Symposium! I listened all day to advocates, policymakers, council members, transitional coaches, other entrepreneurs, and parents. LOVE - LOVE - LOVE Message to Collette I stumbled onto your cookies and was intrigued by the cinnamon chocolate chip. I have not seen that combination in a grocery store before, so I tried it. They were a pleasant surprise. Neither flavor overpowers the other. They also have a good level of crunch without being dry. I enjoyed them quite a bit. Later, I noticed the packaging and that you have Down syndrome and employ others with disabilities. I used to work in home health care and have met many people with disabilities that could work, but lacked opportunities. What you are doing with your business, providing opportunities and visibility for people with disabilities, is wonderful. Thank you so much for actively working to make the world better.
