Reflecting on 2024: A Testimonial That Captures My #Mission As I reflect on the year #2024, which comes to a close tomorrow, one story stands out—a story that reaffirms my #mission and fills me with #gratitude. At my most recent #consulting #masterclass, I had the honor of hosting the oldest participant to ever attend—an almost 80-year-old #retired #consultant with a #career spanning decades. 🧓📘 An #electrical #engineer by profession, he began his #consultancy in 1991 after serving in #government for 25 years. At 60, he retired from consultancy, and his firm, EM Consultancy, went quiet. But then something extraordinary happened. Having followed my updates and work, he decided to attend the #masterclass. In his words, "The product of this attendance, the EM Consultancy is going to #revive. We are going to employ #young #people to run the company because we have a #long-standing #experience of many years." Hearing this moved me deeply. 💡 His story is a testament to the #power of #experience, the potential of #renewal, and the #transformative #impact of #mentorship. It reminds me why I do what I do. Since 2023, my consulting masterclasses have empowered more than 250 #consultants from over 14 African countries. 🌍 But this testimonial is special. It’s about breathing new life into a firm on the verge of fading out. It’s about transferring #wisdom to the #next #generation, creating #opportunities for #youngpeople, and ensuring they are equipped to succeed with #professionalism and #purpose. This is my #mission: to use my #experience in #research and #consultancy to help as many people as possible. To support #consultants at all stages—whether they are just starting out, thriving in their #careers, or retired but eager to pass on their #knowledge.
