🎉 Exciting News! 🎉 We are honored to announce that the Notre Dame Philanthropy Lab Class of 2024 has awarded Dismas House of Indiana $18,000 to help renovate our kitchen! 🍽️ Back in October, students Ryan Casey and Amelia Parisi from the Notre Dame Philanthropy Lab Class of 2024 visited our home to learn more about the heart of what we do at Dismas House. During their visit, we shared our mission to foster community and belonging, providing a safe and supportive environment where our residents can rebuild their lives. We also discussed the incredible impact our residents have beyond our walls. They’re not just rebuilding their own lives—they’re putting down roots, engaging with neighbors, and investing in the Monroe Park Neighborhood and South Bend as a whole. By contributing their time, talents, and resources, our residents are creating ripple effects of positive change, strengthening the bonds of this community and helping it thrive. Our kitchen is truly the heart of Dismas House, where we prepare 40+ individual meals daily, with an average of 20 people gathering around the table for dinner most weeknights. This funding will go towards making our kitchen safer, more accessible, and more functional, helping us continue to foster community and connection through shared meals.
