Our team recently gathered for a meaningful staff volunteer day at the safe sleeping site at O Lot, where we had the privilege of supporting over 250 individuals with a warm meal and a holiday gift, generously sponsored by Cox Communications and SAN DIEGO CITY FIREFIGHTERS LOCAL NO. 145. It was truly heartwarming to witness the difference small acts of kindness can make in bringing comfort and joy to those in need. A big thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this day so impactful. Recently, the Family Reunification Program was able to help an entire family travel across the country to be reconnected with their mother. Since arriving, the family's children have started attending school, the mother has already found employment as a housekeeper, and the father is in the process of training to become a cab driver. The family is happy to be living with their mother while saving up some money and were grateful to the Family Reunification Program for their assistance.
