DT Institute and The Carter Center are pleased to announce the awarding of grants under the joint ACCELERATE grant to three organizations dedicated to empowering HRDs to make meaningful impacts in their local communities. These grants are part of DT Institute and The Carter Center’s ongoing commitment to fostering and supporting initiatives that promote and protect human rights globally. This year’s recipients include a diverse group of organizations working on the front lines to address some of the most pressing human rights issues of our time. The funding will support a wide range of projects aimed at creating sustainable change, raising awareness, and advocating for the rights of marginalized communities. Center E8 is an organization that utilizes education, cultural, pop cultural, and media production to raise awareness and increase public engagement in civil society and promotion of human rights. Their project, The Pop Culture Challenge, harnesses creativity and innovation for social change and seeks to engage the public in democracy, human rights, and civil society issues and encourages the framing of narratives that resonate with stakeholders both rationally and emotionally. #humanrightsdefenders #Serbia #humanrights #hr

New Funding Opportunity for Human Rights Defenders! DT Institute and The Carter Center are excited to announce the ACCELERATE Action Grants under the Human Rights Defenders Initiative. These grants are designed to provide rapid response support to those defending human rights in challenging environments. 🔹 Grant Amount: Up to $5,000 🔹 Number of Awards: 10 - 15 🔹 Application Deadline: Rolling (Review pending availability of funds) This funding aims to help Human Rights Defenders (HRDs) respond quickly to threats or challenges they face.
