Visa, a world leader in digital payments, set a goal in 2020 to digitally enable 50 million small and medium sized businesses (SMBs) in just three years. In Europe, where SMBs are critical contributors to GDP, Visa needed deep insights into the key trends shaping the SMB payments ecosystem across multiple countries. 💡 Precision targeting and a pan-European lens Visa commissioned Dynata to set up and conduct a SMB European Annual Merchant Survey to assess merchant attitudes and behaviours towards payments. Through precise targeting, robust recruitment and tailored research, Dynata was able to target 20,000+ SMB decision-makers across 14 countries. The insights gave Visa a comprehensive 360° view of the SMB landscape. 📊 The impact: data-driven growth Visa has gained nuanced knowledge of SMB trends across Europe, unlocking strategic opportunities in each market. For example, the study revealed that digital payments are fast becoming a critical enabler for SMBs: when cards are offered as a payment choice, SMBs may see a revenue increase of between 6% and 15%.     🛍 Ahead of the holiday season, consumers in the US, UK, France, Germany, Italy and Australia, plan to spend less, according to Bain & Company’s Consumer Pulse Survey. #poweredbyDynata 31% of consumers say they still don’t have enough money for nonessentials this holiday season (vs. 39% in 2023). Reducing dining out is now the top way consumers plan to save on food costs. October promotions haven’t changed shopping behavior, with 81% planning to start checking off their gift list this month.

    Meet the Team ✨ Today, we’re excited to introduce Shelley Edwards, PMP, our Manager of Technical Programs, based in the USA. Shelley leads a dedicated team of Product and Technical Project Managers who are instrumental in executing complex technical projects and driving product enhancement — ensuring they’re delivered on time, within budget, and at the highest quality. One of Shelley’s recent standout projects is our company’s transition from traditional data centers to the cloud (AWS, Azure, and more). So far, Shelley and her team have closed three data centers, with a fourth underway. This shift is streamlining our processes, reducing up-front hardware investments, and significantly cutting energy usage—a win for sustainability and efficiency alike.
