🌍 Introducing Work Package 3: Eco-Design for Protection Systems 🌍 Proud to introduce WP3, focusing on eco-designing high-performance personal and platform protection materials, processes, and equipment. Our goals include creating solutions that protect against current and novel threats, developing environmentally friendly processes and products, and contributing to the circular economy. We are reviewing and improving existing solutions by incorporating creative methodologies to meet circular economy principles. This involves rethinking production processes and generating new value chain models. Additionally, we are developing new solutions by integrating emerging materials and processes, ensuring they meet performance and protection standards. Our approach includes using multi-scale modelling to simulate material behaviour and optimise design configurations for better performance. We also present Gilda Santos, leader of WP3 and Technical Project Manager at CITEVE. Gilda is a Group Leader and senior researcher with a degree in Textile Engineering from the University of Beira Interior, a master’s in design and marketing from the University of Minho, and a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute (USA). She is a specialist in technical and functional clothing, involved in numerous national and European R&D projects related to multifunctional smart textiles and protective clothing. Together with our partners, we're innovating to protect against current and novel threats while prioritising sustainability. ♻️🔄 For more information, visit our website www.ecoballife.eu. #EcoDesign #Sustainability #Innovation #CircularEconomy #ProtectionSystems
