👀 Today we bring you a sneak peek into the use cases that our strategic partner EnviTrail will present at our upcoming Decarbonization Workshop (Prague, 28/11). Get a glimpse into the greener and cheaper future of manufacturing ⬇️ (in cooperation with Brain4Industry) 🚗Surface treatment of Škoda Auto mould - carbon footprint (cradle-to-grave) - The study assessed four mould surface treatment scenarios and their impact on the carbon footprint of the final moulding of a piece of aluminium casting: ● Robotically operated laser mould surface treatment ● Coating and sandblasting ● Combination of both treatment methods ● No surface treatment ⚠️ The recommendation was to focus on increasing the lifespan of the mould by using a combination of both treatment methods (laser treatment combined with coating and sandblasting). 🏭 KOMPAN Global aluminium casting optimization – carbon footprint (cradle-to-gate) - Based on the topological optimization one of the important components for playground construction can be produced with a 30% material saving without compromising its quality applying a more efficient mass distribution. 🌿 Reducing the amount of material used in the casting leads to a reduction in the carbon footprint of the final product while maintaining the same quality and functionality of the element. ❗Curious to know more or access EnviTrail ’s services for your product and process? 🔆 Catch Lukas Ferkl at our “Pathways to Energy Transition: Innovations in Decarbonization” workshop on 28 November in Dejvice! #partnership #AMIRES #Envitrail #workshop
