EDUCAUSE helps higher education optimize the impact of IT. All EDUCAUSE activities and services aim to strengthen higher education. From building the IT profession, to connecting and facilitating collaboration across the community of practitioners, thought leaders and key influencers to providing expert research, data and analysis to better inform strategic decision-making on campus, EDUCAUSE helps members understand the strategic role of IT on campus as well as make the most of that role. EDUCAUSE membership is comprised of more than 2,300 colleges, universities, and educational organizations, including over 300 corporations, with more than 68,000 individual participants around the world, including chief information officers, IT managers and directors, academic deans, university librarians, teaching and learning professionals, and faculty members. The U.S. Department of Defense released the final regulations for its Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Program on October 15, 2024.
