The Office of Electricity | U.S. Department of Energy recently announced 11 selectees for an energy storage technical assistance voucher program that will spur innovations in Long Duration Energy Storage (LDES) technologies among developers, small businesses, research institutions, and communities. These two vouchers aim to increase LDES project deployments nationwide by focusing on storage technology acceleration and community development that will benefit stakeholders locally and regionally.     📢 The latest Voucher Recipients have confirmed their partnerships with Voucher Providers—worth over $20M! Congratulations to the organizations that have been matched through DOE’s Voucher Program! The U.S. DOE Office of Technology Transitions, in collaboration with the Offices of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED), Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management | U.S. Department of Energy, and Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), previously announced that over 170 companies, tribes, and local governments will receive support to advance commercialization of clean energy technologies in the form of in-kind DOE-funded vouchers. The #VoucherProgram is designed to grant small businesses, local governments, and other non-traditional partners access to the vetted resources and expertise they need to bring their clean energy technologies and projects to the next level. In this recent round, the program offered 7 different Vouchers support across many capabilities ranging from testing facility access to trusted third-party subject matter expertise.     📢 DOE is seeking experts to support siting, planning, and permitting initiatives! The U.S. Department of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy is requesting applications from TA providers who have a deep understanding of renewable energy planning, siting, and permitting topics and demonstrated experience providing advisory, educational, or technical assistance services. Selected TA providers will provide technical support to R-STEP collaboratives to improve their understanding of priority LSRE siting topics, inform the development of state-based resources, and strengthen the ability of collaboratives to serve as a trusted source of information within their states. The #VoucherProgram is designed to grant small businesses, local governments, and other non-traditional partners access to the vetted resources and expertise they need to bring their clean energy technologies and projects to the next level. In this recent round, the program offered Voucher support across 174 capabilities, ranging from testing facility access to trusted third-party subject matter expertise.
