Our 6th ēQATOR EU project Consortium Meeting took place this week in #Stuttgart🇩🇪, hosted by our partner University of Stuttgart. 🔬 Exciting News from #eQATOR! 🔬   We’re thrilled to announce that our research on metal dusting challenges in novel syngas conversion processes will be presented at the upcoming #Eurocorr conference on September 2nd in #Paris 🇫🇷   Dr. Daniel Bengtsson Blücher from SINTEF will showcase the latest #eQATOR findings. Our project is pioneering the use of electrically heated catalytic reactors to convert biogas into valuable products like methanol and synthetic fuels. 🚀   One of the biggest challenges in this process is combating metal dusting, which can occur under high-pressure, high-temperature conditions. 🌱 The European Biogas Association and a coalition of universities, research institutes, and associations, including ISINNOVA, are supporting the advancement of #biogas technology towards a greener future. 🔎 Lately, our joint efforts have concentrated on stressing the importance of research and development in unlocking the new potential of biogas and safeguarding Europe's strategic autonomy in biogas technologies. 🌻 ISINNOVA's leadership in the BIOMETHAVERSE project exemplifies our commitment to driving innovation in the biogas sector. The #BIOMETHAVERSE project is expected to deliver a 15% increase in biogas production efficiency and a 10% reduction in production costs by 2028. 💪🏻 The collaborative effort of ISINNOVA and the wider biogas research community underscores the importance of channeling funding into innovation and demonstration projects, such as those supported by #HorizonEurope, LIFE Programme, Innovation Governance Program, and #InvestEU. Our 5th eQATOR Consortium Meeting took place this week surrounded by mountains in the beautiful City of Innsbruck, hosted by our partner MCI | The Entrepreneurial School®. It was an insightful gathering with representatives from all partners discussing how to develop scalable, electrically-heated catalytic reactor technologies. 🏔👨🏫 👩🏾💻👨🏻💻👩🏫⛰    For two days, our partners presented and exchanged thoughts on the progress in each work package. In break-out-sessions a special focus was given on discussing the development of the catalysts used within the project and the reactor design for the methanol production.     Next to the demonstration of a lab-scale converter designed and built by MCI, the partners got the opportunity to see coated honeycombs being heated up through resistive heating at the university's own lab.     We're grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with our Austrian partner and for their warm welcome and hospitality.
