Thanks for the shout out Raspberry Pi. We couldn't have had more fun --FIRST kids are such an inspiration! And of course we loved their eagerness to check out our kits and the chance for us to share what what we're building with the grownups who stopped by.
When Dean Kamen gives Raspberry Pi a shout out while hyping kids up about the affordable and easily approachable Experiential Robotics kit built by SparkFun Electronics! 😭 😭 😭 This was my second year attending the FIRST Championships in Houston, and I will never stop being amazed at the sheer potential of these kids. If they are any indication, the future is bright, bold, and covered in googly eyes! If you're interested in getting kids interested in robotics, reach out to our partners at Sparkfun or DigiKey to get an education discount for your classrooms. More importantly, reach out to your local FIRST team about how to become a mentor or volunteer to help students join millions of kids learning teamwork and building confidence through STEM and robotics.

What?! A Robot pageant with robots built by primary school kids! If you teach 9-12 year-olds you can imagine what this adventure in STEM creativity with UTC Warrington , @deka-research-&-development, and Kids Invent Stuff has in store for us. We can't wait to launch. This may be our most fun collaboration yet! https://lnkd.in/eJNF3Tt7 Sign-up link in comments for UK year 5 and year 6 students and primary schools in the Warrington area. #robots #STEAM #STEMfun #competition #kidsinventstuff #makingrobots #STEMskills #omgrobots

Experiential Robotics reposted this
We are so excited to explore the future during the #FIRSTDIVE presented by Qualcomm season!
🧪 Host of “It’s Not Magic, It’s Science!” 💪🏽 2x American Ninja Warrior semifinalist 📺 Contestant on “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?”
Did someone say water game?! 🌊😉 I’m so excited for the 2024-2025 FIRST robotics season, #FIRSTDIVE presented by Qualcomm! Just like the FIRST community, Earth’s ocean is more than what you can see on the horizon. I can’t wait to see what students discover as they explore the unknown and develop innovative ideas to build a better world.

1. Follow your passion. 2. Innovate, and then iterate. 3. Collaboration is key - it's all for one and one for all. From a parent's eyes this story of Meenakshi TRipatphy's son, Kris, speaks volumes for FIRST programs like the FRC and FTC and the inspiring competitions that inspire their participants' most creative innovations. This week the World Championships have brought teams of robotics amateurs and their mentors to Houston- where they'll not only take part in the competitions but meet "like minds," make new friends, and discover new Meenakshi's takeaways from watching her son grow with his team are primary forces driving the powerful impact of this community for kids everywhere who are eager for ways to apply their creative minds to making change happen. #omgrobots #notjustrobots #FIRSTGlobalCommunity #STEM #STEAM #workforce
What can a 17-year-old teach us about Product Management? More than you might think. My son, Krish, is the technical captain of Design Tech High School - Oracle's FRC Robotics Team (Team 5940 Bread), which has gone from an underdog in 2020 to top-ranked in just three years. I've watched him and his team win two Blue Banners this season, including their first-ever win at the Central Valley Regional this weekend. They've also qualified for the world championship at Houston. Here are the three things that stood out to me as I watched the team's journey up close and personal: 1. Follow your passion. 2. Innovate, and then iterate. 3. Collaboration is key - it's all for one and one for all. These lessons go beyond just robotics and apply to Product Management as well. A passion for your work is crucial, and innovation (with intentional iteration) and collaboration are essential for success. #productmanagement #robotics #frc #leaders #passion #innovation #collaboration

Learning by doing. Learning how to make a difference for good in this world by getting it done. WPI’s project-based learning foreign study program is transformative.
“When problem solving happens in cultures outside of a student’s prior experience and comfort zones, the learning opportunities are greater.” The Spring issue of IIENetworker magazine from the Institute of International Education, focused on cross-cultural learning in engineering education, features WPI’s project-based learning model, including our Global Projects Program and the Interactive Qualifying Project. A profile explains how our students prepare to address global challenges through projects and research, often done internationally, that seek solutions to open-ended real-world problems. You’ll also read what our alumni are saying about the transformative personal and professional impact of our multiple-project experience. Thanks to article authors Kathleen Head, director of WPI’s Global Experience Office, and Krista Miller, assistant director of the Global Experience Office, for their summary that exemplifies how WPI can be a model for other STEM institutions to help students learn to consider social and global factors in the design process.
