We’re shaving off milliseconds on the track by analyzing parts per millions in the lab. At each F1 race, our scientists 👩🔬 are behind the scenes in their trackside lab, testing and analyzing engine, gear, and hydraulic oils in partnership with Red Bull Racing & Red Bull Technology. Fiona McEwan and Pablo Terroba Seara are Mobil 1 racing technical advisors that have the answers to key performance questions – before, during, and after the race.

Our Chief Climate Scientist, Dr. Vijay Swarup, was on hand in Lima for APEC Perú 2024 to talk about the energy transition, affordable energy, and promoting collaboration to meet climate goals. The forum drew leaders from across the Asia-Pacific region to promote increased prosperity for the people of the area. Key to this growth is the supply of reliable and affordable energy with fewer emissions, a topic that Vijay knows well: “More energy, lower emissions - that’s what has to happen.” In order to facilitate a successful energy transition, the world and the region that makes up APEC will need policies and technology acceleration that go hand in hand.

Advanced and mechanical recycling can help give new life to used plastics. And we’re doing our part to develop the infrastructure to process used plastics. Our latest news? Our joint venture with Agilyx and LyondellBasell has reached a final investment decision to invest $135 million for a second Cyclyx Circularity Center. Here's (some of) what the second Cyclyx Circularity Center will be doing: ♻️ Accepting a wide range of post-use plastics. 🏭 Producing ~300 million pounds of plastic feedstock per year for mechanical and advanced recycling. 👷 Creating more than 100 jobs in the local Dallas-Fort Worth area. #circulareconomy #circularity
