Yesterday, we celebrated 2024 Sloan Public Service Award honoree, Celestina L. at her ceremony in Bushwick. Today, she joined us at the reception to continue the celebration! Celestina’s dedication to advocating for affordable housing, combating gentrification, and empowering her community shines brightly. Her leadership is an inspiration, and her deep connection to the people she serves reminds us of the power of grassroots action. Thank you, Celestina, for your unwavering commitment to making Bushwick—and NYC—a better place for all. 🏆

The bus' last stop of the day before heading to the reception was to see 2024 Sloan Public Service Awards honoree, Vimi Bhatia , at the Manhattan Child Advocacy Center. Joined by her proud parents, Vimi reflected on her work, saying, “Our ultimate mandate is to do the right thing.” Her tireless dedication to justice and her compassion for NYC’s most vulnerable children, elders, and families were palpable in every story shared. Thank you, Vimi, for embodying what it means to serve with integrity and heart. 🏆

DBIA , during our visit to the NYC Department of Design and Construction. Her colleagues shared heartfelt words about her transformative leadership and tireless dedication to improving NYC’s infrastructure.
